I
filled in during afternoon drive and came to two very quick conclusions
about being on the air in Providence (or Rhode Island in general): 1.) An average radio signal covers the ENTIRE
STATE, and
2.)
there are only 39 cities/towns in the state, but half of them are nearly impossible
to pronounce correctly the first 200 times you try. I believe they do this
to discourage people from moving there---as if the incredibly high cost of
living isn't scary enough. Then current program director, Ron St. Pierre, was
about as cool as they come.
